Salman Khan fans’ love gives strength to family during hard times: Arbaaz Khan

After the murder of Maharashtra’s political leader, Baba Siddique, on October 12, the spotlight is back on superstar Salman Khan and his security. The Indian actor has been facing constant threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi due to his alleged involvement in the 1998 blackbuck case. On Wednesday, Salman’s younger brother, Arbaaz Khan, exclusively spoke to India Today Digital, sharing how the family was absolutely devastated by Siddique’s murder, and that it is their fans’ love and faith that has been helping friends and family face the hard times with grace.
Apart from being a close friend, Siddique was also the leader in Bandra constituency, the place where the Khans have lived for years. While avoiding discussions around the threats and Salman’s security, Arbaaz did open up about what keeps the family strong during such hard times. Arbaaz shared, “This love gives us so much strength. The support that we receive from so many people. These are the times when you understand who is standing by you. It’s like a reality check about so many things that’s around you.”
We discussed how many believe that Salman Khan and his family are paying the price for being popular. When asked if during moments of such distress, the family resents their stardom, Arbaaz replied, “It would be very ungrateful to say this. We have received recognition and love from so many people…the entire family. There is also a lot of advantages of the position we hold, so I will never say that.”
“Also, there would always be issues that God puts you in, or your work has put you in. Then there are scenarios like these and I think it’s all a part of the package. But as compared to the love and appreciation we get, these things don’t matter,” the actor signed off.
